Hi Nuala,
I sent a wee poem or two off to this a week or so ago...
It's a bit tricky to make out the poster events and time-table but from the general write-up, it sounds good...do they charge to attend the events or is it free? I know that Strokestown is free and wondered if it was the same? I'm in Ireland during that time and may nip down from Donegal to a day or two of it! : )

Hi Liz
I emailed Aoife (the contact name given) to ask about fees into events at Caomhnú. She no longer works there, so my mail was fwded to someone else. I'll keep you posted...
I sent a story; if I get s/listed, I might see you there! Otherwise, I will be staying at home continuing my recession-induced hibernation.

Hi Again Liz
Caitríona O'Reilly got back to me (super quick!) and here's what she said:

Some of the events are free and other have a charge.

Briefly:

Friday evening readings with Joseph O Connor, Professor Terence Dolan, Noel Monahan and Seamus Ó hUltacháin are free.

Workshops half day for example Writing for Theatre and Short Story Workshop are €10 concession €5 and Poetry Masterclass which is a full day workshop is €20 concession €10.

Saturday Evening Dinner, Drawing Room Performances and Performance by Local Singers and Songwriters is €50 with concession of €45.

Children’s events are free at Johnston Central Library as is Terry Prone speaking on Women in the Workplace (however seating is limited and will be on first come basis).

So, the readings mostly seem to be free, which is very good.

Nuala, thanks very much for all the info. I am sorely tempted to go and think I will, weather-permitting, as am a cowardly driver on icy roads : )
And the workshops are very reasonable - oh yes! I need the stimulation as starved of these
types of activities here!
And if we coincide there, it
would be really nice.
