What fun - an open day this Saturday at the Irish Writers' Centre. Lots to please all you discerning writers:
The day will start at 12pm with a Literary Coffee Morning, where people have the chance to bring along a favourite poem or story and share them.
There will then be readings from 1pm with Eileen Casey and Kieran Furey.
The interns have organised a writing session at 3pm which will be suitable for all levels of experience.
This will be followed by an address by the chairman, Jacke Harte, about the Irish Writers' Centre and a presentation on poet and playwright Alice Milligan by writer in residence, Catherine Morris.
At 5pm the reading room will share its podium with the public for an Open Mike session for writers and musicians.
And at 7pm there will be a literary table quiz which costs €16 per table of 4 and will have an array of fantastic prizes kindly donated by Easons.
