YouTube READING OF 'PEACH'

So I am off on my Nebraska trip tomorrow and I'm really looking forward to getting going and to meeting my fellow readers and all the Prairie Schooner crew at the launch events in Lincoln.

I made a video of me reading 'Peach', my story that is in Prairie Schooner, and have posted it on YouTube. Because YouTube only allows clips, rather clunkily I've had to chop it up into four parts. But it's there anyway, for anyone who has oodles of time on their hands. Part 1 is below, the other parts are handily called Peach Part 2 etc.

Cheerio and talk to you all next week!

A great reading of 'Peach', Nuala and it is a great story. I loved the impromptu soundtrack at the beginning!
Have a lovely time in Nebraska.

Thanks, honey. I think that start bit may well be the best bit of the whole thing ;)

Enjoy Nebraska Nuala. I loved the video clip. I especially love the way you sway with the words. It reminds me of the YEARS I have spent swaying my hips with the little ones on them. Put me in my happy place watching you...and listening to you .. Bon voyage x

Aw shucks, Móna, thanks. Photographers always give out to me becasue I move so much when I read - result: blurry pics.

Have a fab trip Nu - can't wait to hear all about it. I've loaded the clips to my play list to listen in peace when the kids are in bed!

Oh beautiful - and the darkly funny bit had me hallooph then tut myself! Reminded me of Proulx in such effortlessly moving yet concise prose, just gorgeous.

OMG, comparison to Annie Proulx. Swoon. I can die happy :)

Listened to this while relaxing this afternoon. Loved it. You have a great reading voice and the story is just brilliant. Easily one of my favourites of your stories. Thanks for posting this, a real pleasure to listen to.
