*MOTHER AMERICA* LAUNCH

The Dublin launch of Mother America (New Island) - my new short story collection - will be on Thursday 7th June, 6pm - 8pm, in The Winding Stair Book Shop - a place I have loved through its incarnations down the years. ALL are welcome!

Come and enjoy a glass of wine, hear me reading from the book and soak up the lovely atmosphere of The Winding Stair.

The Dublin Writers' Festival is on all that week and we can adjourn to The Stinging Fly and The Moth joint launch party later at The Odessa Club. A long literary night out. What fun!

Meanwhile I am off to read to a group of Minnesotans tomorrow night in Galway, along with dear writing friends Alan McMonagle and Órfhlaith Foyle. And in the wee hours of Saturday morning I fly to Croatia for the European Festival of the Short Story.

See you at my launch, I hope :)

I don't suppose you'll be coming to Chicago anytime soon will you? Well, until then I'll just keep reading and enjoying your blog, and of course will buy your new book to go with my Nuala collection

Very best of luck with the launch Nuala - and enjoy Croatia - it's beautiful. Will there be a Galway launch as well for Mother America or did I miss that info?

Cheers, ladies :)

@Ruth - there is no official Galway launch but I am reading at the Galway Fringe, 3pm, Saturday, 21st July, Bridge Mills. I am treating that as its official Galway outing! Nuala x

@Donna - no plans for Chicago, sadly. Arkansas is the nearest in June for the Intl S/Story Conference.
