MOTHER AMERICA VIRTUAL TOUR #8

My virtual tour today takes me to the Malaysian home of Irish writer and journalist Johanna C. Leahy. Johanna is one of those people I met online who I subsequently met in real life. She's a honey and her novel Peggy Kelly RIP is being agented just now and, no doubt, will be on our shelves in the not too distant future.

We concentrated on the whole business of self-promo in the interview, as well as book cover design. It's here.

Just read your interview, Nuala. I really empathise with the promotion side of things! But getting out in the world and reading your work is a buzz - albeit second to writing in the first place!

Gosh Nuala, thanks for the shout-out for Peggy. It was a pleasure to 'talk' about 'Mother America'. It's a great book and deserves lots of attention and praise. x

Ta, ladies.

I hope Peggy goes all the way for you, Johanna.

the promotion a writer must do is a real eye opener - you do a great job.

Really savouring the collection, cri de coeur is amazing, so well written I felt almost voyeuristic reading it:)

Thanks a millo, Niamh. The promo can be a bore but it has to be done. Hopefully not pissing people off in the process :)
