My
novel - the one due out next year - features two mysterious brown
parcels. It also features a woman who is a taxidermist. I love
taxidermy; I especially love modern pieces, the anthropomorphised kind.
I
have long been looking for a suitable first piece of taxidermy to start
a collection and I found it recently (on the net of course).
Her
name is Lucy and she's a mouse. She is standing on a vintage box of
tansy which is a herbal medicine that features in the novel I am
currently writing. I like that she ties the two books together. So here
she is, Miss Lucy Luch, made by Nimble Matters:

Hello Lucy! Very excited about your new novel, it already sounds most intriguing. xx
Only a year to wait!! Bugger these long lead-ins...
Are you going to have her work as your agent?
Pat - if only she doubled as Luck Luck, I'd be away on a hack :)
Greeting Lucy -I love taxidermy, so I'm v. curious about your book now! And herbal medicine, really looking forward to reading that too.
Cute, thought it was a real one for a minute!
She is real, Rozz. Taxidermied not living.
Aaahhh... eeeeh... (I'm terrified of taxidermy, perhaps that's a fear I should explore...) -- but your novel sounds fascinating, and I'll look forward to reading it!
Tracey - I am sure many people feel as you do. An acquired taste, perhaps? Fingers x'd the novel *won't* terrify you :)
