'Dreaming of Heathcliff' - a painting by Sandy Mastroni
Happy Valentine's Day, lovely readers!! I love this day: romance, heart-shaped everythings (pasta! buns!), chocolate coming out my ears, pretty cards, maybe even wee prezzies.
To celebrate all things love-like and sensuous, I'm over at Eimear Ryan's blog in New York here for an interview about my short fiction collection Nude, which is all about the body and art and sensuality.
Eimear is very generously giving away a copy of the book and a gorgeous red mug from the Strand Bookstore. To be in with a chance to win you have to read the interview first (heh heh) then do what she asks. Think literary crushes...

Now, if I went over would it be greedy...?
Not greedy but participatory! Off you go! woof woof! (The chocolate has gone to my head, I fear...)
Now I understand the painting! Dead clevver I am! Surely you have to prefer Rochester to Heathcliffe though? Though he is a bit of a drip...ooh, I just thought of another one I adore...the young Mr George Emmerson! "On one's forst visit to Florence, one must have a room with a view" Love it!
Rachel - I love Rochester though Wide Sargasso Sea is enough to turn you off him. He is really a self-focused twit. And what sane person keeps a secret wife in the attic?!
Oh yes, A Room with a View - utterly fab. I love that George is a maverick. Yes!
