THE SHORT REVIEW - AUGUST 09 ISSUE

I have a review of Michael J. Farrell's Life in the Universe here in the current Short Review. There is also an interview with Michael here.

Also reviewed/interviewed in this issue is Chris Beckett with his Edge Hill Prize winning collection The Turing Test, and Galway writer Alan McMonagle's début Liar Liar.

That was a very sensitively nuanced review. I haven't read Michael's stories (another one on the list, going to have to get me some money earned soon), but I liked your description of them (in contrast to what he says about how he thinks he writes, in the interview) to want to find out for myself. And to know more about Ireland.
Bet you've been itching to write about FF, too ;)
